* New Florida Motorcycle Laws Effective July 1, 2008 *

1. The MRA offers the BRC (Basic Rider Course). MRA instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and Florida DHSMV Rider Training Program.

2. No previous riding experience is required before taking this class. Typically (new) novice riders take this class. The class is a low stress environment where riders progress at their own pace. Training bikes are small and manageable for new riders.  It is recommended that riders have experience riding a bicycle prior to taking this course.

3. The class is typically three days (approx 17 hours). All times are approximate and the MRA doesn't guarantee completion times.  Call for availability.

A: Friday 6:00pm-10:00pm, Saturday 7:30am-4:00pm, Sunday 7:30am-1:00pm
B: Friday 6:00pm-10:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm-5:00pm, Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm
C: Thursday 6:00pm-10:00pm, Friday 6:00pm-10:00pm, Saturday 12:30pm-9:30pm

4. Riders must attend all sessions and successfully pass a knowledge test and a riding evaluation (skills test) to achieve successful completion.

5. As of July 1, 2008 all motorcycle riders are required to complete the FRTP State Approved Basic Riders Course to receive a Florida Motorcycle License Endorsement regardless of age. In addition, insurance companies many times give 10% to 20% discount off of motorcycle insurance with completion of this course.

6. The MRA certified staff instructs on  late model (250 cc) training motorcycles provided.  These motorcycles are light weight and easy to handle for new riders. These  specially selected "training bikes" are kept in good condition  for the riders comfort and convenience. (Learn To Ride) also provides workbooks and training aids for classroom work. Helmets and eye protection loaners are
also provided by the MRA.

7. Classes are filled on a first come/first serve basis. Your spot will be saved when we receive payment in full. We accept Master/Visa, Disc, or Amex. No checks, please. Our fee is $275.00. (Important) Once you select your time and confirm by pre-paying, fees are non-refundable.  Scheduling changes can be made 7 days prior to first day of class for no charge.  If you are late or no-show at any of your sessions  you will be rescheduled after paying a  $75.00 re-scheduling fee.
